Dear All,

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the University of
Bordeaux, France for structural analysis of intercellular junctions (in the
group of Dr. Olivier Lambert ,-UMR5248 CBMN).

The candidate will work on a 1-year postdoctoral position funded by the
French research agency (ANR) to study the formation of nascent intercellular
junctions (VE-cadherin junction) from cultured cells (in collaboration with
Dr D. Gulino-Debrac (DRDC/CEA Grenoble) and Dr C. Durmort (IBS, Grenoble)).

We seek motivated individuals to develop cell biology techniques in the
scope of imaging the architecture of adherens junctions by cryo electron
microscope. The group specializes in techniques for hydrated specimen
preparation, cryo-tomography, correlative microscopy and image analysis.

Experiences in fluorescent microscopy and/or cryoelectron microscopy or
tomography are highly desirable but not required. The candidate would have a
Ph.D. degree and will work in a interdisciplinary team environment.

The lab is equipped for cryoplunger, CEMOVIS method, tomography acquisition
(Tecnai F20 EM) and 3D reconstruction of ice embedded thin specimens.
Available facilities include optical and fluorescent microscopes, AFM,
surface sensitive technique and cell culture.

Applicants should send curriculum vitae, bibliography, and a brief
description of present research activities:
