A postdoctoral position funded by the British Heart Foundation (2 years) to study membrane protein structure is available in the laboratory of Dr Ashraf Kitmitto, University of Manchester UK. The post will involve protein purification (from heart tissue and recombinant sources), cryo-EM and 3D reconstruction. The EM unit at Manchester is equipped with a Polara 300 kV FEG and a range of Tecnai 10 and 12 TEMs.
