Two postdoctoral positions are available for an NIH funded project
employing a combination of optical microscopy, cryo-electron
microscopy, electron tomography, and cryo-electron tomography of
intermediates in vitro and in cells to characterize the cell entry
pathways of small nonenveloped viruses such as poliovirus.
Experience with electron microscopy and image processing required.
Some experience with electron tomography a plus. Excellent resources
for sample preparation, optical microscopy, electron microscopy and
image processing are available including access to FEI Tecnai T12,
F20, F30 and Polara microscopes, access to a dedicated 28 processor
OSX cluster and shared access to a 112 processor OSX cluster.
