[3DEM] 3DEM postdoctoral position available

A postdoctoral position is available in Bordeaux, France for structural
analysis of intercellular junctions (supervisor: Dr. Olivier Lambert,
IECB-UMR5248CBMN). 

The candidate will work on a 2-year postdoctoral position funded by the
French research agency (ANR) to study the formation of nascent intercellular
junctions (VE-cadherin junction) from cultured cells.

 

This project is in collaboration with Dr D. Gulino-Debrac (DRDC/CEA
Grenoble) and Dr. L. Jacquamet (IBS, Grenoble).

We seek motivated individuals to develop cell biology techniques in the
scope of imaging the architecture of adherens junctions by cryo electron
microscope. Experience in cryoelectron microscopy or tomography is highly
desirable. The candidate would have a Ph.D. degree and would integrate a
multidisciplinary team "molecular imaging and nanobiotechnology" (Dir A.
Brisson).

The lab is equipped for tomography acquisition (Tecnai F20 EM) and 3D
reconstruction of ice embedded thin specimens. Available facilities include
optical and fluorescent microscopes, AFM, surface sensitive technique and
cell culture.
