>From Electrons to 3D Protein Structure: a workshop on cryo-electron microscopy

University of Warwick 30th September 2005

This one day meeting is being held as part of the celebrations to mark the 40th
anniversary of the University of Warwick and the official opening of the new
Imaging Suite in Biological Sciences. Topics will cover cryo-electron
microscopy methods and the biological significance of protein structure
determination by cryo-electron microscopy. The workshop is designed to be
accessible to specialists and non-specialists alike, and aims to create a
relaxed forum for sharing problems and innovations.

Invited speakers include:

Steve Fuller (University of Oxford)
Helen Saibil (Birkbeck College)

Talks will also be presented by invited PhD students and young postdocs.

Registration is free for students and £10 for non-student conference attendees.
The British Biophysical Society is endorsing the meeting and will provide a
number of travel bursaries for students and postdocs in their first position.
