The Department of Biology and Center for Electron Microscopy invite
applications for a

Research Scientist Position

to operate a new facility for imaging biological macromolecular complexes
using cryo-electron microscopy with a new FEI Tecnai G2 F20 cryo+ electron
microscope. The selected candidate is expected to develop his/her own
projects supported by ETH and external funding and collaborate with members
of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics and the Department of
Biology. Additional activities include training of colleagues to
successfully employ the microscopy facility in their research and to
participate in departmental lectures and practical courses. The position is
funded for two years and can be extended.

Qualified applicants with an outstanding background in cryo-electron
microscopy using single particle analysis should send their CV, list of
publications, a concise statement of accomplishments and research plans, and
