Three positions on 3D electron microscopy in the Koster lab:

The activities of the Koster lab (http://www.bio.uu.nl/mcb/3dem/) are
directed towards the development of methods for automated electron
tomography using transmission electron microscopy and other EM techniques.
Within the framework of the Cell Biology Department at Utrecht University
and within the framework of the EMSA microscopy facility, we focus on 3DEM
applicaton-driven method developments. For applications within the life
sciences, our goal is to elucidate cellular arrangements of cells and to
localize individual macromolecules and structures in relative thick (100-500
nm) specimens (e.g. in small cells, in organelles), possibly by means of
gold-labeling and 3D pattern recognition.

5. Post-doc: Development of EM data collection and processing
6. Post-doc: Development of EM restoration and annotation methods
7. Technical assistant: Development of high-performance computing for EM

We welcome responses to the positions 5,6 and 7 until January 15, 2004. For
