Openings are now available for two highly motivated postdoctoral fellows
interested in cryo-EM imaging of biological assemblies. Possible
projects include imaging DNA replication and repair complexes or
adenovirus vectors and receptor complexes using cryo-EM and single
particle reconstruction methods. The laboratory will soon be equipped
with two new FEI Tecnai microscopes, a 120kV liquid nitrogen cryo-TEM
and a 300kV FEG liquid helium cryo-TEM with CCD cameras. Experience in
cryo-EM imaging, other structural biology techniques, or protein
expression and purification is desirable. Training will be provided in
cryo-EM and single particle reconstruction methods if needed. Salary
will be commensurate with experience.
