Nikon scanner

Has anyone tried out the Nikon Coolscan 8000 scanner yet? It is not 
available in the UK until July but the specification looks quite good 
-- 4000 dpi/8,12 0r 16 bits grayscale images/firewire interface for 
~$5k.
