University of London, for cryo EM studies on the mechanism of oligomeric
pore formation by membrane toxins (see Gilbert et al, Cell 97, 547-655,
1999). The Crystallography Department at Birkbeck is a leading
structural biology lab, well equipped for cryo EM, with 3 cryo TEMs
including a 200 kV FEG soon to be delivered, and a Zeiss SCAI scanner.
The post is funded for 5 years by the BBSRC. Interested candidates
should contact Helen Saibil as soon as possible.
